Albertów (Albertow)
Houses and farmsteads on a grid of country roads and lanes. The settlement
area is bounded in the west by a large wood and in the south by minor highway
831. The land is slightly undulating, open and arable, with a small area
od wetland in the east. Just to the north flows the Swinka river.
Bogdanka
A village in an area of almost flat, open arable land. To the southwest
is a small lake. Here is a coal mine, established in the 1970's.
Bogdanka II
some houses and farmsteads on a country road in an area of undulating,
open arable land. about 1 km to the south is a wood.
Bogdanka Gaj
A couple of farmsteads in a piece of open, undulating arable land between
two woods.
Bogdanka Klin
Some farmsteads strung along a country road in an area of almost flat,
open arable land. A steep sided stream runs parallel to the road, on the
western side.
Brzeziny
Some houses strung out along minor highway 831 in an area of almost
flat, open arable land. To the north there is a small area of meadows,
beside the river Swinka.
Ciechanki
A significant village at a crossroads. The land is slightly undulating,
with open arable land to the north, a wood to the east, and meadowland
to the west and southwest. There is a palace from the late 19th century
just to the northeast in Kol. Ciechanki.

Jasieniec
a few farmsteads in an area of lightly undulating, open arable land,
bounded in the west by a large wood. To the south is a narrow lake and
some meadows.
Józefin (Jozefin)
A string of farmsteads along a country road in an area of almost flat,
open arable land. There is a small wood just to the south of the settlement
area.
Kamionka
Some houses and farmstead on a country road in an area of slightly
undulating, open arable land. The Mogielnica river flows past just to the
south, and there is a small stream on the immediate north side of the village.
Kol. Brzeziny
A few farmsteads strung out along a country lane in an area of almost
flat, open arable land. The northern edge of the settlement area is defined
by minor highway 831.
Kol. Ciechanki
Here is a palace, set in the middle of an area of almost flat, open
arable land. The palace has a small wood attached and there are several
outlying farmsteads. about 1 km to the east is an area of meadows, with
a couple of ponds.
Kol. Puchaczów (Kol. Puchaczow)
A few houses and farmsteads in an area of almost flat, open arable
land, with a small area of wetland to the north.
Kol. Wesołówka (Kol. Wesolowka)
Some farmsteads at the junction of a lane with a country road. The
land is relatively flat, open and arable, with some meadowlands to the
south and the Wieprz-Krzna irrigation canal to the north and east.
Konkoruty
A few farmsteads on the west bank of a lake in an area of flat, open
mixture of arable and wetland. 1 km to the north is a large lake, the Usciewirz.
Nadrybie
Some houses and farmsteads on a country road on the south end of Kaniwola
(gmina Ludwin). the land is relatively flat, open and arable, with a small
area of wetland between the village and lake Nadrybie. This lake is just
to the north of the village.
Nadrybie Dwór (Nadrybie Dwor)
A village at the junction of several country roads. The land is flat,
open and arable, with a wood on the eastern side of the village. There
are also many outlying farmsteads.

There are a few streams flowing across the land around the village.

Nadrybie Wieś (Nadrybie Wies)

Okop
A few farmsteads in an area of what is mainly wetlands. There is a
lake, the Nadrybie, about 1 km to the northwest.
Ostrówek (Ostrowek)
A small village, based on parallel country roads, one on either side
of a tributary of the Mogielnica river. The land is relatively flat, open
and arable, with a wood to the west and some meadows to the south.
Ostrów Nadrybski (Ostrow Nadrybski)
Some farmsteads scattered over the relatively flat, open mix of arable
and wetland on the south side of a large lake, the Usciewirz.
Puchaczów (Puchaczow)
This village, lying in an area of almost flat arable land, still has
many wooden cottages. On the south side of the village, between it and
the Swinka river, is an area of meadowland. Few cows are kept on the meadows
now, as it is becoming uneconomic for a farm to have only 1 or 2 cows.
Puchaczow had town rights between 1527 and 1869, and it still has the street
plan and some of the public buildings of a town. The church is late baroque
(1786) Many local families, as in nearby Stara Wies, are linked to the
Grzesiuks. This family came from the Ukraine, via the city of Chelm. The
family is divided into the 'village Grzesiuk' and the 'forest Grzesiuk'

Puchaczów Las (Puchaczow Las)
A couple of farmsteads in a small strip of open, undulating arable
land between 2 woods, to the immediate south of Bogdanka Gaj.
Stara Wieś [Starowies] (Stara Wies)
Still known by the locals as Starowies, unfortunately government officials
'know better' and signpost it as Stara Wies. This is confusing as their
is another Stara Wies a few kilometres away, near Leczna. This is a small
village, on the southern side of the Swinka (little pig), just opposite
Puchaczow. The land is almost flat and is mainly used for agricultural
purposes, such as tomatoes and apples, the tomatoes are mainly sold to
a local factory in Milejow. There are meadows between the village and the
Swinka river, some of which is paddocks for keeping the few remaining horses.
The local church is the one in Puchaczow. More information about this village

Sufczyn
A very few scattered farmsteads in an area of open, almost flat, arable
land.
Szczecin
A scattering of farmsteads in an area of relatively flat, open arable
land, with some meadows just to the south.
Szpica
A medium sized village on a country road in an area of relatively flat,
open arable land. To the north there is an area of meadows, some of it
wet. about 1.2km to the east is a round pond.
Turowola
A village scattered along an almost straight country road, parallel
and north of the Swinka river. The land is relatively flat, open and arable,
but there is a significant area of meadows, with a small lake, to the north.
Turowola Kol.
A few scattered farmsteads across an area of open, slightly undulating,
arable land. Minor highway 831 crosses the northern part of the settlement
area, and just north of that is the Swinka river.
Wesołówka (Wesolowka)
A village bounded in the north and east by woods, in the south by minor
highway 831 and in the west by the Wieprz-Krzna canal. The village is divided
by a railway line, and along the edge of the northern wood flows the Swinka
river.
Zawadów (Zawadow)
Houses and a few farmsteads along a straight lane that runs parallel
to a railway, on its immediate western side. The land is slightly undulating,
open and arable.
